Cold Transfer

A cold transfer sends the call directly to another extension without speaking to the receiving party first. On a supported desk phone, press Transfer, dial the destination extension, then press Transfer again to complete it.

Warm Transfer

A warm transfer lets you speak with the receiving party before handing off the call. Press Transfer, dial the extension followed by #, and you'll be connected privately with that person. Once you've given them context, press Transfer again to complete the handoff.

Transferring from the Softphone

In the Lightspeed Voice browser softphone or Orbit desktop app, select where the call should go — an extension, queue, ring group, voicemail, or parking lot — and complete the transfer from the call controls.
