IP Phone

An IP phone, also known as an Internet Phone, SIP Phone, or VoIP Phone, is a device that converts voice into digital packets and vice versa. This allows for phone calls to be made over the internet. IP phones have built-in IP signaling protocols like SIP or H.323 to ensure that the voice is routed to the correct destination. On the media side, IP phones use audio and/or video codecs such as G.711 or H.261 respectively over RTP. These phones also offer additional services such as voicemail, email, and call number blocking.
