blueButler Integration Setup

Connect blueButler for call pop-ups and call detail tracking

Overview

The blueButler integration connects Lightspeed Voice directly to your blueButler account. Once connected, incoming and outbound calls trigger automatic pop-ups with caller details, and call duration is logged for you.

Before You Begin

Before starting setup, make sure you have:

  • An active Lightspeed Voice account with Dashboard access
  • A blueButler Server Key
  • Your extension registered for use with Lightspeed Voice

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Create the Integration in the Dashboard

Go to Management → Lead Settings → Integrations. Click the + icon to start a new integration.

  • Enter the integration name as blueButler
  • Select blueButler as the vendor

Step 2: Assign Users

Enable users individually, or click Select All to assign access to everyone at once.

Step 3: Authenticate blueButler

Enter your blueButler Server Key in the upper right corner to establish the connection.

Step 4: Configure Call Pop Settings

Choose a Call Pop option: None, Inbound, Outbound, or All. All is recommended.

Step 5: Test Call Flow

Test both directions to confirm the integration is working:

  • Inbound — confirm blueButler opens a pop-up window with the caller's information
  • Outbound — confirm calls trigger the same pop-up behavior

Step 6: Verify Logging

Make sure the pop-up window correctly displays call duration once the call ends.

How It Works

Incoming and outbound calls trigger automatic pop-ups in blueButler with caller details. If you're already viewing another record when a call arrives, you can click to view the current call. Once the call ends, the pop-up displays the call duration.

Troubleshooting

Authentication failures: Verify your blueButler Server Key is correct.

No pop-ups: Confirm your Call Pop setting is enabled and your extension is registered with Lightspeed Voice.

Number Porting Note

If you're porting an existing number, test the integration again after the port completes to confirm DID routing and user assignment are correct.
