Overview
This tutorial walks through using the Lightspeed Voice In-Browser softphone.
Step-by-Step
1. Getting Started
Log into your Lightspeed Voice Dashboard. When you first log in, you may see a popup asking to allow microphone access — click Allow. If you previously selected Block, click the lock icon next to your URL, reset permissions, and reload the page.
2. Switching to the Softphone
Click the Phone icon in the bottom left (your Dialer by default). Click Switch and choose Softphone. Select an outbound number if you have multiple, and click the gear icon to confirm your microphone and speakers.
3. Receiving Calls
Incoming calls trigger an on-screen popup where you can accept or reject. If you're not on the Lightspeed Voice browser tab, you'll hear ringing and see the call flashing on the tab.
4. Placing Calls
Dial out by clicking the keypad, typing the number, pasting a number, or using Prospect Dial to load a number automatically from a prospect's page.
5. In-Call Options
The softphone window expands with Prospect tools (notes, appointments, plans, text, email), Mute and Hold on the right, and the ability to set your call result and disposition once known.
6. Transfer and Hangup
Click Transfer directly for a simple transfer, or use the dropdown for Queue, Ring Group, VM, or Park. Click Hangup to disconnect, or use the dropdown for Hangup & Save.
7. Conference Calls
Click Add Call to start a second line. With two calls active, click the Conference button, check the calls to include, and click Start Conference. To end, click Conference then Hangup All, or click an individual caller and Hangup to disconnect just them.
