Call History vs. CDR Reports

Two different tools for two different needs

The Difference

The Lightspeed Voice Dashboard has two places to review call activity, and they're built for different purposes.

Call History

Designed for quickly reviewing an individual call. From Call History you can see who called and when, access the recording, and view NOVA details — including the transcript, summary, and sentiment — for that specific interaction.

CDR Report

Designed for reporting and analysis across many calls. Use the CDR report when you want to look at call volume patterns, durations, and trends over time rather than a single conversation.

Quick Rule of Thumb

If you're trying to review one specific call, use Call History. If you're trying to understand patterns across many calls or need to pull a report, use the CDR Report under Phone Reports.
